Instructions & Guidelines for Swimmers

General Rules

  • No entry without a valid Swimming Pool ID Card.
  • ID cards are strictly non-transferable and must not be used by anyone other than the holder.
  • All swimmers must make an entry in the register when entering and exiting the pool.
  • Swimmers are permitted in the pool premises only during their allotted/booked slot.
  • Leave the pool 5 minutes before the end of your allotted slot for showering and changing.
  • Do not carry cash or valuable belongings to the pool.

Health & Hygiene Rules

  • A swimming costume is mandatory for all swimmers.
  • Take a shower before and after swimming.
  • Remove shoes before entering the pool area.
  • Swimmers with long hair must wear a swimming cap.
  • Avoid swimming immediately after a heavy meal.
  • Entry is prohibited for anyone with epilepsy, cuts, open wounds, fever, skin/eye infections, or other communicable diseases.
  • Do not swim with bandages, plasters, or dressings that may come off in the water.
  • Do not swim if you feel dizzy, weak, excessively tired, or unwell.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the pool premises.
  • Entry is prohibited for anyone under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
  • Do not apply oil, ointment, or similar substances before swimming.
  • Clear your nose and mouth before entering the pool and use the scum gutters while in the pool.
  • Do not throw food, snacks, or other edible items on the pool deck or in the pool.
  • Use changing rooms, showers, toilets, and other facilities responsibly and keep them clean.
  • Maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste only in designated bins.

Safety Rules

  • Swimming is strictly prohibited in the absence of a Lifeguard or Coach.
  • Swimming must stop immediately during lightning or thunderstorms.
  • Beginners must remain in the shallow end.
  • Diving is strictly prohibited.
  • The pool deck and changing-room floors may be slippery. Walk carefully; never run.
  • Keep your nails trimmed and do not swim wearing rings, bangles, watches, chains, wrist/neck threads, bands, or other metallic objects.
  • Horseplay, pushing, or any activity that may endanger other swimmers is strictly prohibited.
  • Pool staff may deny entry if the pool reaches its maximum permitted capacity.
  • Photography is strictly prohibited unless explicit permission is obtained from the FIC/Coach.
  • Always follow the instructions given by the pool staff for your safety.
  • Authority reserves the right to temporarily suspend swimming activities due to maintenance, adverse conditions, emergencies, or other safety concerns.

Note: Violation of these rules may result in cancellation of the swimmer's membership and disciplinary action against the individual or group concerned.

Note: The Coach may use any swimming slot for Inter-IIT/Competitive practice purposes.
